Bax to Basics Dress Hire Co. – Terms & Conditions & Privacy Policy

1. Hire Period & Returns

Your hire period begins on the pick-up or courier dispatch date and ends on the agreed return date.
Late returns may incur a daily fee, up to the full retail value of the garment. All items must be returned in the provided courier bag (or drop off to the studio if you picked up your dress).

2. Condition & Care

All garments are professionally cleaned and checked before hire.
You agree to take reasonable care and return the garment in the same condition.
Normal wear is expected; however, significant damage, loss, or staining (including fake tan, makeup, or tears) may result in repair or replacement fees up to the full retail value.

3. Cancellations & Credits

  • Cancellations more than 7 days before the hire date may be refunded (minus a small admin fee) or credited.

  • Cancellations within 7 days are non-refundable.
     We will try our best to transfer your hire to another date if available.

4. Liability

Bax to Basics Dress Hire Co. is not liable for courier delays, lost parcels, or events outside our control.
Hire fees remain payable even if your event is cancelled or postponed by a third party.

5. Payments & Security

Full payment is required to secure your booking.
A pre-authorisation or bond may be taken for damage or late returns.
All fees comply with the Fair Trading Act 1986.

6. Privacy Policy

We collect only the information needed to complete your booking — including name, contact details, delivery address, and ID if required.
Your information is stored securely and used only for hire-related communication.
We never sell or share personal data with unauthorised parties.

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you may request access to or correction of your information at any time.

7. Photography & Social Media

With your permission, we may repost tagged photos on our social media channels.
You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

By confirming your booking, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
